Vlad Holo Curated Commissions
The basic idea behind this site is to bring a simple, appreciative approach to reviewing the great work of doujin-style artists. Whether they are fresh, or have been drawing for decades, I want to provide a window into their art, their style, their creativity.
Half of the this site is dedicated to commissions. This is for independent artists taking and making commissioned doujin-style works. I want to give a view into their work and provide a way for others to appreciate and perhaps also commission work from them, even if it isn't a doujin that you want to commission. Many artists do provide multiple types of services that can be more friendly to various budgets.
The other half of this site is for reviewing and appreciating manga/doujin that's already published and available in official channels. Whether new, old, weird, rough, or stylish, I want to look at everything and perhaps introduce something new or provide some insight from the view of a simple art appreciator.
This site is not a place to compare artists against each other to rank who is best, but to give a view of an artist's work and some words from a humble critic. Each artist has their own journey and I want to see artists grow, learn, and gain larger support from others who wish to see their work.
FAQ
What's The Deal With Commissions?
At the moment, all commissions on this site have been commissioned by me, but I would like to eventually feature more as I wish to allow any kind of commission into the gallery given the artist and commissioner want their work displayed. I'll have more details in the future if there happens to be interest in more commissioned reviews. For now, feel free to ask any questions via the contact email in the footer.
Requests?
If you have a particular doujin or book chapter you want to see reviewed, feel free to contact me with the email in the footer.
Only Doujin?
Yes, this site focuses on doujin or manga-style works. The minimum length is 10 pages as this gives enough material for the basics of a small story while providing enough art to make an analysis. In the future, there's a possibility of expanding into hentai games or hentai anime, but unless there's specific interest in that, It'll likely remain as just doujin/manga-style works.
Downloads
Downloads will be provided for commissioned doujin that have both artist and client approval to be downloaded. Naturally, works in the "Published" gallery won't have downloads unless express permissions are given. However, there will always be a link to where the work can officially be found. This goes for commissioned work as well. If a commission isn't able to provide a download and a store link is available, that store link will be used.
What's taking so long?
Sadly I'm but one person. Updates to the site and question responses may take some time.
