Review Details

I feel that I would be remiss if the first published doujin reviewed on this site was not one as famous as “Mega Milk.” While there are other stories of fame, like Metamorphosis, I didn’t feel depression was a good mood to start things off with; not to mention it’s over 200 pages. That is why I think Shiden Akira’s Tiny Boobs Giant Tits History is a fine story to review first. Not only is it a piece of hentai history that still holds up today, it may be old enough that those more fresh to hentai may not yet know about it. Though, now that I think about it, this makes my first published review an incest story … What a way to begin.

General Impressions

At the onset, we aren’t fully prepared for what’s to come as the story focuses on some closeups of Sis’ breasts, or lack thereof. However, it’s easy to see the art is very clean and the artist is doing a good job at shading and making use of speed lines to create the sense of movement when needed.

Once we hit the title page [cover], though, we know what’s about to come. The clean line work and use of strong curves (those shoulders) really shows-off how shapely Sis’ body is and, of course, how well endowed she is. This trend continues throughout the doujin as Shiden shows they’re well capable at drawing breasts at any angle, including when in various distortions due to squeezing or pressing against surfaces [Ex. 01, 02].

Shiden also shows good handling of expressions as our main female lead endows us with a multitude of different facial expressions throughout the story. Each face is very expressive and adds a lot of character to her design which I think really helps her stand out as a hentai protagonist. Page 4 in particular treats us to a somewhat famous panel [Ex. 01] that, in my opinion, feels almost like a precursor to Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san and it’s popular main character Hayate Nagatoro. And not to exclude Shigeto, Shiden gives him similar treatment with his expressions having consistent quality throughout the story as well.

Characters

Our main Sis here certainly steals the spotlight, and not just because of her generous bust, but also in part because of her attire. The “Mega Milk” shirt has certainly gone down in hentai history, though I admit I wasn’t aware of it until after it’s initial popularity had died down. Supposedly, the origin of its popularity can be traced to the spamming of images from this doujin on 4-chan, which I can wholly believe [more information can be found at knowyourmeme].

Aside from clothing, the character design is well done if simple; with long, straight black hair and medium length bangs usually swept to the side. Her figure is quite slim despite the sometimes over-proportioned chest and while this is great for some, it may be a little annoying for others who like a little more modesty. I found the chest could grow depending on the scene and sometimes turn her proportions a little comical [Ex. 03], but usually it was within somewhat reasonable boundaries. And when those boundaries perfectly align, we get a truly aesthetic figure [Ex. 04].

I think what differentiates her character the most is her expressions. I already mentioned that I liked the many various faces she makes, but I feel like it really makes her stand out a bit more among other long, black-haired busty female leads. Shiden really nailed each one, and from haughty superiority, to mischievous sexuality, to intense stimulation, I think each expression does a good job selling her sexuality just as much as her bust size [Ex. 05, 06]. It’s the secret spice that transforms a regular dish into something more exciting and unique.

Shigeto's character design is simple as well [Ex. 07], but also feels unique enough to pair off against his sisters. In my eye, he almost looks like a mini Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach, considering Shiden’s decision to not tone his spikey, short hair black, like his sister’s. He doesn’t share Ichigo’s personality though, as Shigeto is mostly a tsundere in the beginning and more or less a generic hentai male throughout the main action. However, I do like the extra characterization we get at the end. Taking a page or two to wrap things up rather than just ending once the sex finishes is a little touch I always appreciate. And in this case, we do see the characters banter a little and, of course, we get the impending feeling that a rapid change is about to happen for Shigeto...

Flow & Camera

This doujin flows pretty well through most of the story with a good use of panel layout and some important images bleeding over the panels for extra impact at the right time. I think this artist is quite good at using small panels to insert extra sensuality into a scene in a way that doesn’t break the momentum and really adds to the moment. In the example here [Ex. 08], the small panels are used to show very small time skips emphasizing the moment while also slowing the story to give the reader a more intimate feeling while providing an on-page way of better imagining the the beginning of her fellatio. I think this was rather effective and better than using just one small panel, or using the more broad story strokes of regular panels. This same style is used a few times throughout story and I feel that it really works each time.

Over the course of the doujin, the characters take quite a few different poses and Shiden does a good job giving the camera an angle that shows the full extent of what’s going on while also offering a few gratifying angles outside the standard fare. I found Shiden’s choice to dutch the camera on page 9 a fun decision given that in the story Sis was knocked over the panel before. It was a small attention to detail in service of the story’s events that I thought added some originality to the work.

The camera is a bit more tame throughout the rest of the story with the quality, and provocativeness of the poses instead providing the flair for each page. The insertion scene is accentuated by a small panel series like what I mentioned before, and then transitions to a half-page side position which has a well chosen angle giving us a full view of the body. This pose is also very well drawn, but is an instance where the pose changes a little suddenly, since in the previous page Sis was sitting and inviting her brother in. This kind of transition does happen a few times in the story and it can be a little jarring, but it does give us the opportunity for more poses to be featured since less page real-estate is spent on transitions.

Overall, Shiden chose good angles that show-off the breasts as they are sort of the main asset of the story, and it works well, especially for me since I tend to be a breast over butt kind of appreciator. However, this is why I want to shout out a couple of panels, of which I think the best is on page 14 [Ex. 09], which are a little different from the norm. They put emphasis on the sister’s behind rather than her front with page 14's giving a very curvy pose as she performs fellatio. These panels really stuck out to me as most panels are in service of Sis' breasts, so these brought some welcome variety to the flow of the story.

Sexual Content

This story has 17 pages of nudity/sexual content not counting the cover and things start getting spicy on page 5 with Shigeto walking in on his sister. However, copulation doesn’t actually start until page 17, giving this doujin 5 pages of actual sex content. From a practical standpoint, this isn’t a huge issue though, as the buildup is half the fun and the 5 pages of sex is able to traverse quite a few positions. As mentioned above, part of this is because the story does change positions a little suddenly, but overall it’s not a detriment as the poses certainly speak for themselves.

The foreplay includes a handjob, paizuri, and fellatio with the last being the most sensual in my opinion. I’ve already called out the choice of camera angle for part of the fellatio scene as being a unique spice to the story, but the choice of camera for the paizuri is also well chosen with a good accentuation on the breasts and another angle similar to page 14.

Turning an eye towards the characters' privates, page 9 gives a great initial tease of the sister's vagina, but it’s page 16 that contains the real reveal [Ex. 10]. It's well detailed and very cleanly rendered with love juices accentuating the sexuality and inviting nature. The drawing really shows-off Shiden's ability to render detailed privates, and likewise, the brother’s penis is given it's fair share of quality [Ex. 11].

After initial insertion, the poses don't often lend themselves to showing detailed privates, though there are a few small panels to accommodate. The final climax is a front angle view of doggy style so we don't get a shot from behind at the end, but the half-page render is welcome, though unfortunately a little awkward with the breasts once again feeling a little too disproportioned. There's also no post climax removal scene so those looking for it will be disappointed, but the story did make its decision to focus on breasts and that it certainly did.

Final Thoughts

This doujin may have gotten famous due to internet denizens looking to push a meme, but the sticking power of this doujin is in the fact that it actually has good quality. The art is great and the poses are truly evocative. Not everyone fancies sibling sex, but there's an undeniable sizzle to this story through the characters' banter, the sister's impeccable figure, and most definitely through her expressiveness. The story isn't groundbreaking, but offers something easy to enjoy and doesn't distract from the sex. And while I may not be the biggest fan of the climax page due to the slightly awkward body proportions and lack of any post climax wind down panels before continuing the story, the overall quality makes up for a little disappointment. Shiden made something special here and while I'm not very familiar with their other work, I'm definitely wanting to see more made available.
